I love Thanksgiving.  I love going home, being with my family, and eating lots of food.  Like Burgess said, it’s a great time for reflection.  I have realized that I have so many things to be thankful and people to thank!

I am thankful that I have a home.  It is so nice to have a house to go back to, and a bed to sleep in.  I normally take this for granted, but working with Habitat has made me realize how lucky I am to have a home.   Being at home always makes me realize how thankful I am for my family.  I am so lucky to be surrounded by people who love and support me.  My sisters, parents, and relatives (especially G’ma!) have always encouraged me, believed in me, and helped me in my goals/projects/dreams.

I am also so grateful for the Mixed Concrete family.  We are so fortunate to have received so much love and support over the past year.  The Honduras team (we call ourselves BUNCHHH) was our original support system.  I am so thankful to have been part of BUNCHHH, and gotten the chance to meet you all! Thank you to all the artists who donated (or plan to donate) their art to the show and everyone who helped us organize the first show.  Thank you to Open Eye and TRU for hosting Mixed Concrete.  Thank you to our friends and family who came out to the show.  Thank you Mrs. Robinson and Ms. Missy for helping us so much!

Thank you Burgess for being a great partner-in-crime.  I have really enjoyed working with you, and I am so proud of what we have accomplished.  I am so thankful that I get to be a part of the Mixed Concrete art show! We are so fortunate to have received so much support, and I am so lucky to have gotten to get to know so many great people.
