Sure, Mixed Concrete is this amazing and fun event. Who doesn’t like wine, art, music, and interesting company? But at the end of the day, this art fundraiser has three very real beneficiaries. Let’s connect this event to an Orange County family whose needs are being met by Habitat for Humanity of Orange County and by all the wonderful folks who head out to the event this Saturday at TRU.
Kyaw Kwai and Ta Paw have been married for three years. They came from different refugee camps in Thailand and met in Chapel Hill. Ta Paw recently started working as a Nurse Assistant at a senior center in Carrboro. Kyaw Kwai has worked at Aramark for two years. They have a one-year-old son, Ker Du Ku.
They are currently living in an apartment, and are excited about owning their own home. They know it will be affordable, and they believe owning their own home will create a better future for their children.
